I made some more nice approahes over water like this one at Manning, SC. Chasing speedboats on short final, really cool....

This was a nice one as well. This little strip is at Fairview (Landrum), SC and is just 30 feet wide. The winspan of the C152 is more than that. In order to land safely you had to check for road traffic as you passed over the church as the road allmost touches the runway threshold. And there was a severe dip in the middle of the runway you have to 'hop' over.

I didn't land here, but it did look nice. Right at the southern foothills of the Appalaches and with a strongely displaced threshold at both ends because of terrain clearance. If you look closely you can see all the arrows.

And offcourse I had to go to Myrtle Beach, SC. This is what it looks like if you approach from over the Atlantic.

Well, we had some pretty important bussiness to take care off, you know.

Like the saying goes: "Sometimes it's better to be on the ground wishing you were up in the air then the other way around".

This was pretty cool also. This runway at Roanoke, Virginia has some obstacles at the departure end. The town and airport are located in a valley surrounded by mountains. Very nice and very tricky.
